SUSTAINABILITY
Practical biology.
For a more sustainable future.
We apply microbial science to support healthier soil and aquatic systems, more efficient food production, and the recovery of value from organic materials.

OUR APPROACH
Healthier systems.
Stronger production.
Our mission connects sustainable agriculture with grower profitability, responsible land stewardship and long-term value.
01 / BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS
Support soil and water health.
Develop microbial solutions around soil biology, nutrient cycling and the conditions of each production system.
02 / RESOURCE USE
Make inputs work harder.
Support efficient feed and nutrient utilisation, with project results that help producers understand performance in practice.
03 / PEOPLE & PRODUCTIVITY
Build long-term value.
Connect scientific expertise with the needs of growers and industry partners to support productive, viable businesses.
WHERE WE CONTRIBUTE
Sustainability across
our core sectors.
Each production system has different challenges. Our contribution starts with the biological functions that matter to that system.

AGRICULTURE & CROPS
Productive soil,
over the long term.
Our crop formulations support microbial balance, nutrient cycling and plant health. Farm-specific development considers soil biology, disease pressure and management practices.
The Smart Bernas Perlis case study documents a microbial management programme and paddy harvest performance across four planting cycles.

POULTRY & LIVESTOCK
Better use
of feed resources.
Our animal biosolutions support gut health and nutrient utilisation. In poultry, tailored programmes address flock conditions and feed-efficiency objectives.
Three broiler programmes recorded feed conversion improvements and feed savings. These results relate specifically to the poultry programmes shown.

AQUACULTURE
Work with
the pond ecosystem.
Our aquaculture approach considers microbial balance, organic matter degradation, nutrient cycling and animal performance together, with formulations tailored to the production setting.
The Pahang shrimp programme documents probiotic screening and water-microbial monitoring. It provides an example of how laboratory work connects with pond conditions.
RESOURCE EFFICIENCY / REPORTED FIELD RESULT
Feed savings.
A tangible starting point.
A Johor biosimilar programme covering a reported flock of 150,000 broilers recorded a 6% improvement in feed conversion ratio and 36 tonnes of feed savings.
Feed conversion ratio measures feed used per unit of weight gain. The reported savings provide a concrete example of resource efficiency within this programme.
Results depend on programme conditions and farm management. These figures are not a carbon-emissions calculation.

BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

of organic materials.
COMPOSTING
Put microbial decomposition to work.
Our composting range includes individual microorganisms and consortia for organic matter breakdown, nutrient cycling and the composting of plant-based materials. These products support the biological processes behind composting.
SOIL & AQUATIC WATER APPLICATIONS
Bioremediation, matched to its setting.
Our portfolio includes Precision Soil Remediation and Precision Water Bioremediation Microbes. Development considers the conditions and biological challenge of the soil or aquatic production system.
Our contribution here is the development and supply of biological formulations. The outcome of a specific composting or remediation project needs to be evaluated in its operating context.
FROM UNDERSTANDING TO APPLICATION
Science and manufacturing
that support better decisions.
LABORATORY SERVICES
Understand the starting point.
Soil microbial analysis helps characterise microbial populations and pathogen presence. Controlled pesticide efficacy testing supports product comparison and selection.
FORGEBIOME
Connect knowledge with field experience.
Forgebiome brings microbial knowledge, formulation data and field performance together to inform the next formulation and deployment.
OEM & MANUFACTURING
Help partners develop biological products.
Our Manufacturing Alliance connects research, formulation and scale-up with manufacturing and quality assurance. Partners lead field validation, registration and commercialisation.
OUR LONG-TERM DIRECTION
Ambition, with a clear
view of the evidence.
Our mission includes responsible land stewardship and contributing to greenhouse-gas reduction and removal. These are long-term ambitions; our reported project results describe the outcomes documented so far.
PROJECT OUTCOMES
Measure what changes.
Feed utilisation, soil condition, nutrient efficiency, organic-material recovery and water quality are useful areas for evaluating sustainability outcomes in future projects.
OUR OWN OPERATIONS
Consider how we produce, too.
Energy use, water use and production waste are important areas for assessing our own operations as part of a broader sustainability picture.
VALUES & PEOPLE
Keep responsibility at the centre.
Integrity, excellence, innovation, passion, responsibility and teamwork guide our work. Our purpose connects environmental stewardship with grower profitability and long-term value.
We distinguish biological capabilities, results from individual programmes and future ambitions. Quantified climate benefits require their own supporting assessment.
