FIELD RESULTS
Evidence from
real production systems.
Explore biological application studies in broiler production, paddy cultivation and aquaculture.
01 / POULTRY
Three broiler programmes.
Results in context.
Field programmes in Johor and Perak report feed conversion improvements alongside final weight, mortality and feed savings. FCR means feed conversion ratio: the amount of feed used per unit of weight gain.
| Programme | Reported flock (birds) | Average final weight | Mortality rate | Reported FCR improvement | Reported feed saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Johor / biosimilar programme | 150,000 | 2.57 kg | 6% | 6% | 36 tonnes |
| Perak / customised programme | 70,000 | 2.3 kg | 7% | 3–8% | 7–18 tonnes |
| Perak / customised programme | 190,000 | 2.32 kg | 6% | 3% | 21 tonnes |
These are three separate programmes. Mortality figures are rates recorded in the studies. Flock numbers describe the programme scale; the allocation between comparison groups is not specified.
02 / AGRICULTURE
Paddy performance across
four planting cycles.
At Smart Bernas Perlis, a microbial management programme for paddy variety 315 was documented over four planting cycles in 2022 and 2023.
Soil and crop management
The programme combined microbial soil recovery with biological disease and insect management. Its soil consortium included Bacillus spp., Trichoderma, Lactobacillus and Phanerochaete spp.
Paddy panicle characteristics were also compared at 100 days after transplanting.
| Planting cycle | Net harvest weight |
|---|---|
| 2022/1 | 2,200 kg |
| 2022/2 | 3,400 kg |
| 2023/1 | 3,012 kg |
| 2023/2 | 4,293 kg |
Weights are total net harvest as reported. Plot area is not specified, so these figures are not yields per hectare. Differences between planting cycles should not be read as a measured treatment effect.

03 / AQUACULTURE
Probiotic screening and
pond monitoring in Pahang.
A customised programme for P. vannamei in a 0.5-hectare earthen pond connected laboratory screening with pond-water Vibrio monitoring.
The production setting
Species: P. vannamei
Pond type: earthen pond
Pond area: 0.5 hectare
Reported stocking density: 80 animals/m³
The programme used a probiotic consortium and tracked water Vibrio counts around marked applications.
What was evaluated
Laboratory images compare inhibition of Vibrio parahaemolyticus by conventional and precision probiotics. The water-monitoring chart records changes in Vibrio counts over the observation period.
These laboratory and monitoring observations do not establish a measured harvest improvement for this programme.

About these results
Results relate to the individual programmes shown. Performance varies with farm conditions and management, and each new application needs its own evaluation.
SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICE
What these results mean for sustainability.
The broiler programmes provide reported examples of feed-resource efficiency. The crop and aquaculture studies document application performance; wider environmental outcomes need their own measurement.
