AGRICULTURE
Work with your soil.
Grow with precision.
Microbial solutions for soil health, crop performance and biological crop management, developed around the conditions of your farm.

SOIL & CROP BIOLOGY
A healthier foundation
for crop production.
Soil biology, crop requirements and management practices all influence the right biological approach. Our work brings these factors together.
Soil health
Support beneficial soil microbial balance, nutrient cycling and soil structure to create a healthier environment for crop growth.
Plant growth
Support nutrient availability and plant vigour as part of an integrated crop-production programme.
Crop resilience
Promote beneficial microbial activity and help manage soil-borne disease pressure.

FIELD RESULTS / PADDY
Paddy performance across
four planting cycles.
At Smart Bernas Perlis, a microbial management programme for paddy variety 315 was documented over four planting cycles in 2022 and 2023.
Soil and crop management
The programme combined microbial soil recovery with biological disease and insect management. Its soil consortium included Bacillus spp., Trichoderma, Lactobacillus and Phanerochaete spp.
Paddy panicle characteristics were also compared at 100 days after transplanting.
| Planting cycle | Net harvest weight |
|---|---|
| 2022/1 | 2,200 kg |
| 2022/2 | 3,400 kg |
| 2023/1 | 3,012 kg |
| 2023/2 | 4,293 kg |
Weights are total net harvest as reported. Plot area is not specified, so these figures are not yields per hectare. Differences between planting cycles should not be read as a measured treatment effect.

FROM FARM CONDITIONS TO FORMULATION
Begin with the crop.
Build around the challenge.
Understand the farm
Share your crop and variety, cultivation stage, location, soil conditions, current management and the issue you want to address.
Connect testing and biology
Soil microbial analysis can help inform soil-management decisions. Microbial screening and formulation development support selection for the intended application.
SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICE
Soil biology for lasting productivity.
Microbial balance, nutrient cycling and organic-material recovery are part of our approach to maintaining productive soils.
